The evenings are drawing in and the leaves on the trees are turning that brilliant burnished orange that signals Autumn is upon us. The Autumn Fete was a great success with FLHPS raising almost £2000! Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who made it possible. I would also like to thank Mr and Mrs Stanley, our next door neighbours, for donating the first prize in our raffle. Also thank you to ISE Fire and B and Q for their generosity in donating second and third prize. We really appreciate the help and support of our local community businesses.
Farm to Fork has inspired children in so many ways; from poetry to cookery, science to art. In fact Camille in Year 3 received a Headteacher's Award this week for being the next Mary Berry! Mrs Scrimshaw has been working with classes to produce some delicious dishes in our new kitchen and in Year 1, the children have been learning the story of The Enormous Turnip. Next week, Year 3 and 4 will be off to Tesco to find out how food arrives on the shelves of supermarkets.
If you would like to find out more about our school, please come to our Open Day on Wednesday 14th October, with tours running at 9.15am and 1.30pm. No need to book just come along!
