Just a reminder that the AGM of the PTA will be taking place tomorrow afternoon (8th October) at 3.15pm.  A creche will be provided, so please come along and find out more about what is involved with them!

Dear Everyone,

 I want to take the time to thank the people who gave their time to make the summer fete the success that it was: 

  1. The parents and school staff of the PTA who attended the meetings leading up to the fete.

  2. The parents of the PTA who created the stalls and came up with everything needed for these stalls.

  3. Every single person who gave a tombola prize for the best stocked tombola ever!

  4. The people who took the time to bake cakes.

  5. The three parents of the PTA and school staff and Miss Rudgalvis and Year 5 for setting up the Summer fete.

  6. The two families that lent us the use of their BBQs (sorry about the burnt table Mrs Foo!)

  7. The parents and school staff who took the time to man a stall for the summer fete.

  8. All the people who came along to support the fete on the day.

  9. All the children who practised their singing and dancing and Mrs Williams for creating and teaching them.

  10. The parents and school staff and Mollie-Rae who stayed behind to clear up after the summer fete.

  11. The three parents of the PTA that spent all morning counting the money.

  12. Year Six for completing their Apprentice Challenge and, as a class, raising a staggering £557.31.

As a school we have made a whopping profit of £2323.23!!!  That is £723.23 more than last year, and I am really pleased with the fete and the results.  Now we can call in the playground experts and go shopping! 

The list of actual names that created this event is not that long.  The PTA runs film nights and discos, coffee mornings and cups of tea after plays and nativities, we run summer fetes and Christmas fetes and this all takes time.  We are hoping next year that more parents and more staff get involved with the PTA to share this workload.  You can dip in as much or as little as you want but hopefully next year will be a more accessible and fun PTA so we hope to see you in some way.  We may even change the name!

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is nearly summer fete time and this year the theme is World Cup Football Fever!  The fete is on Friday 27th June from 5pm to 7pm and we have lots of exciting stalls including three tombolas, bouncy castle, Bar & BBQ, Beat The Goalie, Football Boot Wanging and Wine or Water.  Also Mrs Williams is teaching the children some songs with a fabulous dance routine!

As always we need your help to make the summer fete a success and the more money we make the bigger the budget for the playground equipment!  Below is a list of things we need your help with:

 Manning the Stalls - this year we have decided to split the time so we need help for either the first or second hour.  This will allow everyone to enjoy the fete.  A list will go up in reception if you could spare an hour to help. 

 Tombola Donations - this year there will be three tombolas.  We're asking adults to bring in donations for the Bottle Tombola - anything from beer and wine to fragrance and shampoo, from chutney and olives to juice and Dr Pepper  - we'd be thrilled to have it, please drop donations in at reception.  There will also be a Kids Tombola and a Sweets & Treats Tombola.  On Friday 20th June kids that bring in donations for the tombolas can be in mufti that day.  We are asking that years R, 1 and 2 bring in donations for the Kids Tombola and that years 4, 5 and 6 bring in Sweets & Treats in exchange for wearing whatever they like.

 Water or Wine - a popular stall last year that requires any spare bottles of wine to be donated via reception please.

 Face Painters – we only have one volunteer so far so if you can paint a face and spare an hour to help with a really popular stall then please let the school office know.

 BBQ - the BBQ is on again this year but we only have one BBQ lent to us so far.  Can anyone lend us a gas BBQ for that day? If you can please would you let the school office or myself know?  Promise we will clean it!

 Raffle Tickets – as always we have some really good prizes including £100 first prize.  Please can you sell as many as you can and return the stubs and money to the school office.

 We are really excited about this year’s fete and what we hope to buy with the funds.  We really appreciate your help and thank you for your ongoing support.

 For children in Reception – Year 2 the disco runs from 5.15pm – 6.15pm and costs £2 to include a drink and a snack

   

 For children in Years 3 – 6 the disco runs from 6.30pm – 8pm and costs £2 to include drinks.

   

A tuck shop is available to buy treats!

       

No need to buy tickets in advance – just pay on the door!

   

 Please note that all children MUST be collected by an adult at the end of the Disco.
